March 12-13

It snowed A LOT in March so we had a difficult time getting up this month - but we were able to come the weekend of March 12-13, and David brought his friend Tyler with us.
The boys had an epic air soft war in the back yard. Unfortunately, one of the shed windows made the ultimate sacrifice.
While the kids shot at each other, walked around the neighborhood, tobogganed, and built snow caves, I worked on cabinet hardware and prepping the bedroom for paint. Huge spackle party - can't wait to get rid of those horrendous colors in the bedroom and loft. (I think of them as "Lifeless Putty" and "Suck my Will to Live Drab.") Carlie and I chose the new colors this weekend: for the loft, we're going with a lively blue color called "Summer Splash." (Since the quilts have some flowers on them, we thought we'd do a little manscaping with blue paint.) The bedroom will be a delicate pale blue/aqua called "Tropical Spray."
